How to Find ZTC Courses

How to Find ZTC Courses

  1. Navigate to UAOnline (uaonline.alaska.edu) and log in.
  2. Click Student Services and Account Information, then Registration, then Class Search.
  3. Click Search (you can enter something in the search box first if you would like but leaving it blank will allow you to see all courses with either a ZTC or a low cost marking).
  4. Check the box beside "Filter for courses with free or low cost book(s) or material(s)." Note: All courses at UAA or UAS will have zero textbook cost. UAF courses will have total course materials cost of $40 or less.
  5. Apply any other search criteria you wish, such as entering a course in the search box, selecting a campus, or choosing a course delivery method. Click Search again.
  6. Continue with your registration as described in this How to Register guide.
  7. Enjoy paying nothing for required textbooks in ZTC courses! It is strongly recommended that you double-check the bookstore information for ZTC courses to verify that there are no required fee-based course materials. Occasionally a department or faculty makes a mistake in reporting ZTC courses or a course changes instructors last minute that results in a change in required course materials.
