COVID-19 Restrictions

We are open to current University of Alaska or Alaska Pacific University students, staff, and faculty.

  • UPDATE: Effective August 2, 2021, per University Policy, the use of a face mask is required on all UAA campuses, regardless of vaccination status.
  • You MUST have your UA or APU ID and use the card swipe system to enter the building.
  • Check the Library Services: COVID-19 page for the most current information before visiting.

Study Room Guidelines

  • Please check in at the Circulation Desk within 15 minutes of your reservation's start time.
    • After 15 minutes the room may be given to other users.
    • At least two members of a group must be present to check in.
  • ​Study rooms are primarily for use by UAA and APU students.
    • Please contact the Head of Access Services for more information.
  • Each group or individual may use a study room for a guaranteed time block of up to three hours.
    • ​​We try to honor preferences but cannot guarantee that you will be assigned the specific room you requested.
    • You may stay beyond the guaranteed time if no other users have reserved the room.
    • Double booking rooms or otherwise attempting to thwart the reservation system may result in the loss of study room privileges.
    • Only Individual Study rooms are to be used for RPNow testing. (Earplugs are available in the vending machine.)
  • We appreciate your leaving the room in the same neat condition you found it in.
    • Beverages with a lid and small food items ARE allowed in study rooms.
    • Please shut the door behind you when you are done using the room.
    • Use of the study rooms are a privilege. Abuse will result in revocation of the privilege.
