Installing Zotero Connector on Firefox

  1. Go to zotero.org/download
  2. Click "Install Firefox Connector" and follow any on-screen prompts.

When Zotero Connector is installed in Firefox, you should have a Zotero icon in the top right of the browser that looks like a Z, a piece of paper, or possibly a book (it depends on what you're looking at in your browser).

  2. Click "Install Chrome Connector"
  3. On the Chrome web store's page for the Zotero connector, click "Add to Chrome" and follow any on-screen prompts.

Using Zotero Connector with the web version of Zotero

If you can't run the desktop version of Zotero, you can follow these steps to get the Zotero Connector to sync with the web version of Zotero.

  1. Click the Zotero Connector icon in your browser toolbar.
  2. In the "Is Zotero Running?" pop-up, click "Enable Saving to Online Library."
  3. A new window should appear. Login with your Zotero account details.
  4. On the "New Private Key" page, just click "Accept defaults."

Now when you click the Zotero Connector icon, whatever you're looking at will be saved to your Zotero web library.
