Mat-Su College: Zotero, a free citation manager

Zotero is made up of two pieces of software that work together:

• Zotero, a program to work with stored references. There are two versions:
  • The "desktop version," which is available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • The "web version." This is like the desktop version, but you use it in your web browser.
• Zotero Connector, a browser plugin that you click on to automatically save references to Zotero.

Zotero does the heavy lifting. It's where you manage and export your references. You can use Zotero on its own, without Zotero Connector.
