Renew Materials

Most items may be renewed twice unless they have been requested by another patron. Login to your library card account to verify due dates and renew items.

Request Materials

You can request materials and have them delivered to the library of your choice. Once you find an item you are interested in, click the Place Hold link on the right side of the screen. You will be prompted to log in if you haven't already. If you don't see the Place Hold link, try clicking on the title of the item.

From the drop-down menu, select a pickup location from the list of partner libraries. You will be notified via email when the item is available and will have 7 days to pick it up. If you select UAA/APU Consortium Library as your pickup location, the item will be held at the Main Circulation Desk.

You cannot place holds on journals, ebooks, reference materials, or Course Reserves.

Return Materials

You may return items to the following book drop locations:

  • Outside Providence Drive entrance (wall slot beside the door)
  • Outside North entrance (box on sidewalk near parking lot)
  • Main Circulation Desk
  • North Circulation Desk

You can also return items to partner libraries, including all Anchorage Public Library branches and all Mat-Su Valley libraries.

You must return Course Reserves to staff at the Main Circulation Desk.

Overdue, Lost & Damaged Items

There are no daily overdue fines assessed for most items. Exceptions:

  • Overdue fines for Course Reserves vary from $0.50 to $1.00 per hour. Note: laptops, headphones, calculators, etc. are Course Reserves.
  • If an item is overdue more than 28 days, it is considered lost. You will be assessed a $90.00. Lost Item fee plus a $5.00 Late Return fee. The Late Return fee will not be waived. If the item is returned, the $90.00 Lost Item fee will be removed from your account. The Consortium Library will not accept replacement copies for lost books.
  • Damaged items will be assessed fees based on the replacement/repair cost of the item.
  • A lost Interlibrary Loan item will be assessed a minimum $90.00 fee up to the replacement charge from the lending library.
  • Fees may be paid online. Log in to your library account and click on Fines. You may also pay your fees at the Main Circulation Desk using credit/debit card, cash, or WolfBucks.
  • A hold will be placed on your university account when you owe $75.00 or more. This hold prevents you from getting your grades. It does not prevent you from registering for classes.
