What do you think of Twitter?

How useful do you think Twitter is?

It's a necessary communication medium, nowadays.
I like it pretty well. I think it could be great!
It's great for a couple of subcultures, but the bulk of it is of questionable use.
Meh. No opinion.
It may have some use, but I'm not really sure what.
It is a waste of time and bandwidth and is making people stupid.

Getting started with Twitter...

Here are a number of handouts I've made (or found) about how to set up a Twitter account, how to tweak your settings, and how to use Twitter, once it's all set up. They're designed so that you should ideally be able to follow them on your own, but if you have any difficulties, get in touch with me, and I can answer any questions you might have.

Informational resources about Twitter

Here's a series of links that you might find useful, about Twitter etiquette (twitiquette?), neat things that have happened on or because of Twitter, and general rules to follow to be a successful "tweep" (Twitter person).
