This guide will help you assemble a business plan for a course or for actual implementation, and to find research to support the plan.

Components of a Business Plan

Business plans generally include some or all of the following components:

  1. Executive Summary
  2. Mission and Vision
  3. Description of Products or Services
  4. Marketing Plan
    a) Industry Overviews & Competitive Analysis
    b) Target Market
    c) Sales and Promotion
  5. Management and Organization
  6. Operational Plan: Location, Equipment and Labor
  7. Financials
  8. Other Considerations
