Health journals are found on the second floor of the Consortium Library. Titles are shelved alphabetically using the significant words in the title. For example, look for the Journal of Nursing Staff Development as Journal Nursing, not Journal of.
This links to the list of 300+ nursing journals available online when you are physically in the Consortium Library. Articles from these titles can be delivered to your computer by contacting the Alaska Medical Library staff - 786-1870 or aml@uaa.alaska.edu.
You can determine whether we have immediate access to a specific journal or magazine in the library's online and print collections by using this resource. The next box explains how to order articles.
You can request a copy of an article from the Alaska Medical Library.
Within the nursing database CINAHL, add the items you need to the Folder, then click on the Folder icon (at the top of th page), select all the articles, then click the Email icon. Email your list to aml@uaa.alaska.edu.

Photocopies (articles, book chapters) generally take one to two days, depending largely on whether the lending library can send the documents electronically.
