Online Books

Did you know the Library buys electronic books that you can "check out" online?  Click here for links to the various E-book providers.

Most of the current e-books related to Outdoor Studies are available through Netlibrary.  Be sure to take a look!

Finding Books

Search the Library Catalog for books and other materials in the Consortium Library and other libraries in southcentral Alaska.

NOTE: Many relevant books will be found in ARLIS, so don't limit your search to Consortium Library only.

Helpful tips:

If you know the title of the book, click Title and enter the title of the book in the search box provided. For more help watch this short how-to video.

If you are searching for books on a topic, choose Subject.
Examples: recreation; outdoor recreation; leisure; tourism; etc

   Additional how-to videos include:

What do I do if the book is checked out?

If a book that you want is already checked out, you can place a HOLD so the book cannot be renewed and you will be notified when it is returned.

Locate the item in the catalog and click on Place a Hold on the far right.  Watch this short how-to video for more information.  If you have problems placing a hold, watch the "Problems Placing a Hold" tutorial.
