Mental Health Resources for Alaska Practitioners

E-Books

The e-books listed below can be viewed online from any computer connected to the Internet once you have registered with the Alaska Medical Library (AML). Registration is free to any healthcare provider in the State of Alaska.  Unlike some e-book services, you are not downloading these items, simply searching either individual titles or collections of books.

Search across all books from each vendor and other resources by using the search box on the AML page. Each individual collection can be searched separately using these links:

Within each collection, searching a specific title or selected group of titles is also possible. The main difference in searching an electronic version of a book is that you search every word in the selected books.

The e-book is a complete version of the print copy, all graphs, tables, images, and charts are available.

Google Book Search

Book Search works just like web search. When a book with content that contains a match for your search terms, a link to it is listed in the search results. If the book is out of copyright, or the publisher has given permission, you'll be able to see a preview of the book, and in some cases the entire text. If it's in the public domain, you're free to download a PDF copy.
